Welcome! We would like to thank you for choosing Busy Bee Nursery School. We can assure you that we are committed to all parents and children enrolled in our center. The Busy Bee Nursery School staff is dedicated to providing a loving, nurturing environment that is stimulating academically, artistically, and socially. Our goal is to create an environment for children to socialize in, as well as to prepare them academically for the future. We understand that children accelerate at different levels and we will adjust our curriculum to meet each child’s individual needs.
Busy Bee Nursery School is currently operating under Ashley Pierce (Bennett) and Sarah Trieber who together have over 19 years of professional preschool teaching and business management experience.
Busy Bee Nursery School’s primary focus is an enriched curriculum based on monthly thematic units. These themes have educational, social, cultural, and emotional value and are designed to promote developmental skills to enrich all children’s understanding of the world. Learning centers around the school have activities that are suggested either by written or verbal cues from the teacher or can be developed daily by the children. Materials and equipment in each area are displayed in a manner that promotes individual and independent play,as well as for children to generate creative and cooperative problem solving sessions.
During our afternoon continuing education session we offer, Sports and Fitness classes, Yoga, and Hip-Hop just to name a few.
Meet our Owners/Directors
Ashley is a life-long Lynn resident who attended Lynn Public Schools and graduated from Lynn English High School. From there, she went on to attend New England College in Henniker, New Hampshire. After a year at NEC, she transferred to Southern New Hampshire University located in Manchester, New Hampshire. Ashley graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Child Development and a minor in Special Education. After graduating, she taught at Marblehead Children's Center as a lead teacher in the Transitional Kindergarten class. While teaching at Marblehead, Ashley also completed her Master's Degree in Early Childhood Education at American International College. Five years later, she made the transition to public schools. Just prior to acquiring Busy Bee Nursery School, Ashley taught Inclusion English at Lynn Tech for one year utilizing her minor in Special Education.
Sarah grew up in Willington, Connecticut. She attended the Rectory School in Pomfret, CT, and later moved on to Miss Halls School in Pittsfield, MA. Sarah is a graduate of Lynchburg College with a major in English and Communications. After graduating college, Sarah worked in business management for 10 years. She then switched her focus to education, began working in Child Care, and started taking courses at North Shore Community College. Sarah has been working as a lead teacher for preschool and Transitional Kindergarten, on the North Shore, for the past 10 years.
During this time, Ashley and Sarah were presented with a once in a life time opportunity of being able to fulfill a lifelong dream of owning a preschool together. They always knew that one day this dream would become a reality. Working as preschool teachers has allowed them to gain skills in a variety of levels within the education system. They have also gained many valuable classroom skills and techniques that are needed to create a successful learning environment. Previously working together provided them many opportunities to apply their knowledge and skills for what is needed in a successful classroom. Ashley and Sarah are firm believers in using the concept of differentiated instruction in order to run a smooth, successful classroom. They believe each child has the ability to learn and as teachers it is their job to adapt to each learner’s unique learning style.
We are so fortunate to be living our dream. We are looking forward to building a strong educational foundation for our new Busy Bee families.
